I’ve never done this kind of blog before, but it’s been a great year in music and I thought I’d sum it up. Here are the most important cool things that happened to me in 2022! I hope you enjoy your reading!

1. 28th January. A video call with MARCELLA DETROIT, my most favourite artist ever. I love her songs, love her voice and I appreciate her for all that she is. In the U.S. she is better known as MARCY LEVY. Yes, that girl who wrote and sang on Eric Clapton’s “Lay Down Sally”, “The Core”, "Innocent Times" and “Promises”, “Wonderful Tonight”… That girl who had a no. 1 single “STAY” in the UK with Shakespears Sister and also a no. 4 single on Billboard Hot 100. Her solo discography is long, but she had a major hit in Europe, “I Believe” and “Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing” duet with Elton John, and she has released 8 solo albums so far. How many times in your life do you get a chance to talk to your favourite artist? I was so nervous! Very grateful for this opportunity!

2. 18th February. MERCENARIES is finished and uploaded. The brilliant lyrics by TIMOTHY ELDRIDGE. This was our third collaboration. That song changed everything! 4x no. 1 on Museboat Top 25 Music Chart, 1x no. 1 on Museboat Annual Gala Show 2022 – Round 4, three nominations for SONG OF THE YEAR, BEST SONG LYRICS and BEST SONG PRODUCTION and no. 3 on THE ANNUAL GALA MUSIC SHOW with 30.273 votes (!!!). I still can’t believe how successful this song has been, getting me many new wonderful friends, a community of artists, who are also kind people everybody would like to meet. Unbelievable! I also recorded two more versions of “Mercenaries” after its success – “Aura Mix” and “The Mix Surrounded in an Aura”, named after R. G. Williamson’s comment on the song saying “This song is surrounded in an aura!” Great inspiration! Thank you all for your unbelievable support!

3. 2nd May. Finally finished and released my album “THE ISLAND”! At one point I thought I would never finish this song collection. It took me four years, though the songs are just simple guitar tunes [and one piano song]. Each song has a different topic, but overally they are about hope, love, depression, social differences, forgiveness and friendships. I’m very proud of this album, as it’s really about who I am and what I think... Simply – this album is my island.

4. 10th May. I released “ANGEL”, the final song from “THE ISLAND”. I did 4 slightly different versions of that song and made videos for all of them. This song means so much to me.

5. May/June (and long before) I was in touch with ISA CONAR, a brilliant guitarist, singer and artist. When she was recording her new album featuring the lyrics by Agnieszka Kuchnia-Wolosiewicz, she also wanted to record some of those songs in Slovak language. So I helped her out with several translations (Polish and Slovak languages, and especially an East-Slovakian dialect, are very similar). To my surprise, she was so nice and included my name on her beautiful album “KROPLE ROSY”. I helped her out a little with the translation of her song “Moje Tatry” (the mountains which are a natural border between Poland and Slovakia). Not to mention how surprised I was, when Isa mentioned me in one of her interviews (with the renowned Bogdan Fabiański!) on the radio and my name also appeared for the very fisrt time ever in press in a magazine called “Pismo folkowe” in November! Wow! It was joy to help out Isa a little! It’s something I will appreciate forever!

6. 17th July. I released “WHEN I FALL ASLEEP (SAVE ME)”. It took me about 10 years to finally record that song. Originally it was a guitar track for which I did a little demo, but then I decided to turn it into a dance song. It was a great song for the summer. A little song fact – there is also a short snippet of another version that was produced by Andy (Museboat boss!), we wanted to use it for possible use in commercials many years ago, but it didn’t work out.

7. I joined Mixposure in the autumn and I got amazing support from MICHAEL FISHER, an awesome artist, from the bands 3rd Deck and Animal Souls. His show is called “FishMix” and he also included “Mercenaries” in his Top 30 songs of the year! I am speechless! Awesome! Several other dj’s chose my songs for their shows on Mixposure. Thank you!

8. December. To my own surprise I wrote a new song, called “Winter Song”. I wrote it on 21st December, recorded it on 22nd December and posted it the same day.

9. AT LAST BUT NOT LEAST, my biggest THANK YOU goes out to MUSEBOAT LIVE CHANNEL, a perfect place for all independent artists, for all the huge support of my songs, the brilliant Museboat team – Andy, TJ, Alison, Derek and all the awesome artists and friends I’ve had a privilege to meet there. Museboat feels like home thanks to all of you!
